February finishes

I really finished this first one in January, but didn't show it because it was a birthday gift for my aunt. It's a wrap around potholder, which really protects well when removing hot dishes from the oven. Orange and Blue are University of Florida's colors and she is an alumni and fan, so when I found this blue/orange fabric in my stash, it was perfect.

Maternity top for my daughter in law. It's on its way to her now. The top picture shows the close up of the machine embroidery I did on the neckline.

It's a girl! David and Emily had their ultrasound this week, and the baby cooperated, so know I know that I will be grandma to a little girl. These baby clothes are newborn size, with a bit of extra length added.

Full moon

Sunday night was a beautiful full moon. I had noted this the day before, and thought that I needed to get out and get some pictures, but of course it completely slipped my mind that day. I happened to glance out our window, and saw this. I grabbed the camera, Steve followed with the tripod, and we got this picture. Considering the lack of forethought and effort that went into this, I am pretty pleased.
